Well, basically Vietnamese answer with yes, when they don't understand you. I've been told by my colleague about that, but haven't experienced that so clearly until today.
Our Airfreight suppliers took me to a visit through the airfreight terminal at the airport today. Unfortunately cameras where not allowed in all areas. Official reason is security, I rather believe nobody should how chaotic they work in there. Funnily there are signs everywhere stating "Safety first" but few workers wear safety shoes not even talking about safety vests...
Here imported Alcohol bottles get their Tax tag
Vietnamese are often using umbrellas to protect them from the sun. This individual seems to be a fashion victim.
View from our Office down to the Terminal:
Anyhow, it was very kind from our supplier to show us around and explain everything. Well not maybe everything. I had a few questions regarding procedures and technical data, and most of my questions were answered with, guess what, "YES" :)!
Well, evening entertainment was the Him Lam Golf Driving Range. It is a very cool atmosphere during the evening. Since it gets dark aroung 6pm every day, the Driving range is fully illuminated. Today I had to go to the first floor.
The view is great:
It's real fun practising your Golf Swing or Puts next to the River and always have the Skyline of Ho Chi Minh City in direct sight.
Will do this more often during evenings. Anyway it's much cheaper than in Europe. You get 100 Balls and pay 140.000VND (around 7 USD). Our Trainee accompanied me now for the second time and he really seems to enjoy hitting a few balls, even though he never had a Golf club in his hand before.
